![]() ![]() ![]() Set the thermostat to 64 but still found ourselves getting hot occasionally at night. I think most rooms have a balcony (for standing not big enough for chair) and the room itself was HUGE which was nice. Like another poster mentioned, the rooms are FAR from the front desk, a weirdly long walk to the elevator then another long walk to the room. ![]() I mentioned I could have spent the same price and booked down the street, but again, not her fault so I asked who would deliver food (Uber Eats and Door Dash do) and went to my room. ![]() Not her fault and she was very sincere however, she explained Hilton wouldn't let them update the website to say the pool wasn't open, etc. Upon my check in I let the receptionist know I found it very frustrating everything I booked the hotel for was not up and running. pool up and running? Nope - when the maintenance came back from furlough they filled the pool and supposedly there was a huge hole in it from a recent earthquake which caused further damage. how about dinner? Well the restaurant is closed and no bar service - only open M-F. The lady asked for an upgraded room and was told not possible since they're working with a skeleton crew and not all rooms are open. Waiting for the lady to check in in front of me I learned the place had been closed due to covid then the management company went under so the hotel ended up not opening for 18 months. To start, the lobby is gorgeous and clean. The pictures of the hotel looked gorgeous and the amenities listed led me to believe I was booking a nice room with access to a restaurant/bar and pool/hot tub to enjoy our last night of vacation. Did some research and found this was close in location and a Hilton brand (who I usually have no issues booking rooms with).
